Funeral Services for Jimmy C. Barnes, Sr. age 67 of Merriam Woods will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Russ Weaver officiating. A second service will be held at Miller Funeral Home in Folsom, California at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Janury 29, 2013. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Folsom, California. Local arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson.
He died at 11:36 AM, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Cox Medical Center Branson.
He was born on July 23, 1945 in San Jose, California the son of Alex and Josie Barnes. He was a retired truck driver and had been a resident of the area for the past year.
He is survived by: his wife of 48 years, Sharon Barnes of Merriam Woods, three sons: Jimmy Barnes, Jr. and wife Debrah of Branson, MO., Donald Barnes and wife Carol of Midland, TX., David Barnes and wife Rebecca of Ione, CA., one brother, Tom Barnes and wife Ruth of Rio Vista, CA., one sister, Deloris Kullenberg and husband Gerald of Austin, TX., seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Barnes.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2013 at the funeral home.
