Jimmy Dale McCall, age 60, passed away Friday evening February 14th, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield MO. He was born June 4, 1959 in Springfield MO to Sherman and Betty McCall.
Jimmy was born and raised in Springfield and graduated Glendale High school. He worked as a cook at Heritage Cafeteria for a time, but also lived in Wichita Kansas working for Cessna aircraft for a number of years. He returned to Springfield and became an apprentice electrician. He later went back to school at MSU and obtained his degree in Computer Information Systems. He also obtained a real estate license and worked for Carol Jones.
He loved being with his family and friends, camping, fishing and riding his Honda Gold-wing motorcycle. He also had a a love for cars. He professed to be a believer in Christ and expressed his gratitude for God’s blessings and grace throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his father Sherman McCall and a grandson Micah. He is survived by his mother Betty McCall, his wife Laura, his daughter’s Tina and Heather, plus 3 grand children, his brother Kevin McCall and family plus several aunts, uncles, many cousins and their families.
There will be a celebration of life ceremony at Faith Hope and Love Fellowship Church 2920 W Water St, Springfield, MO 65802 on February 29th at 10am.
