Jody & I met at a cancer support group meeting several years ago and hit it off! We were diagnosed just a few months apart. We became good friends and chemo infusion buddies. We kept things light in the infusion lab! On good days we would meet for brunch as often as we could. Having a fellow believer was a blessing from God to walk this cancer journey with. I’m thankful for the time we had together. She was quite the encourager to anyone she met. Thankful she let her light shine everyday. Miss you my sweet friend.

Jody and I became friends at Life Point church. I had cancer twice in my past, which brought a special bond between us. Then my 51 year old daughter had cancer and one day at church I saw Jody and went over to her. I was so overwhelmed with heartache but she put her arms around me while I cried and cried on her shoulder. I’ll never forget those moments of God’s love that she gave to me. Love you Jody. See you at the gate……….Fay
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Jody was a part of my life all the way back to our school years—always a lovely presence, someone you were simply glad to know. But it was in adulthood that her true character really shone. She was caring, kind, and genuinely funny—a good friend in every sense of the word. And when you think about it, there aren’t many finer things that can be said about a person than that. Her faith was important to her, as it is to me, and I hold onto the hope and promise that we will meet again one day. Until then, she will be deeply missed. There are people we pass through life with, and then there are those, like Jody, who leave a lasting mark. She was one of those rare souls—and we won’t have the chance to make another friend quite like her.

Dear Asher Family, Jody was a wonderful woman, and to this day I value her friendship to me while I was at Evangel University. Her invitation into your home for Sunday lunch after church, allowing me to do laundry, and watching Sunday football with you all (and the dogs) made the college years less lonely. I will keep you all in my prayers during this time of grief. With Love, Katy (Gray) McLellan
