Joe Dean Williams, 82, of Springfield, passed away on August 27,2020 in Springfield MO.
Joe Williams was born in Crocker, MO, to Clifford and Velma Williams on July 23, 1938. Joe owned Bonded Transmission for 50 years on Commercial street. “Double O Joe’s” passion was drag racing where he spent a lifetime of dedication and time to. Joe received Drag Racing World Champion three times in his career of racing. Joe spent every weekend at a race track with family and friends, which he loved more than anything. Thank you racing family, for allowing Joe to have the best life a man could have wanted racing dragsters with his race family.
Joe Williams is preceded in death by wife Karen Eide, his parents Clifford and Velma Williams, brother James Albert Williams, sister Mary Ann Williams, nephew Daryl Williams and Uncle Hubert Neal and Aunt Ruby.
Joe is survived by sons Chris Williams and Troy Williams, brother John Williams and wife Beverly, sister Charlotte Williams and special companion Tom Steinbach, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with the visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service.
