Joel Ray Foell, 59, Springfield, passed away on July 9, 2009. He was born on June 5, 1950 and graduated from Parkview High School. Joel served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Lewis and Clark and was a custodian at Missouri State University for 16 years. He attended Broadway United Methodist as a child and young man. Joel enjoyed floating and fishing on the river, reading, painting, and playing acoustic guitar. He is survived by his father, Joseph Foell and mother, Lois (Maples) Foell; brother, Art and (Debbie) Foell; sisters, Karen and (Randy) Stiles Kathy and (Jay) McIntyre; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on July 15, 2009, at 10 a.m. in Greenlawn South Funeral Home with burial following at 11 a.m. in Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Ozarks Public Television.
