John Alan Corlett passed away July 8, 2011. He was born July 15, 1961, in Springfield, Mo, to Darrel and Dixie Corlett. John Alan Corlett passed away July 8, 2011. He was born July 15, 1961, in Springfield, Mo, to Darrel and Dixie Corlett. A 1979 graduate of Glendale High School, John entered the Air Force in June 1982. He received his basic training in San Antonio, Texas, serving in Korea and Germany. John worked at Hiland Dairy for many years. A NASCAR enthusiast and Chief’s fan, he loved animals, the outdoors, and enjoyed riding his bicycle. John was a kind and gentle person and will be missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Dixie Corlett. Survivors include his father, Darrel Corlett, three sisters, Gail Lane and husband Greg, Nancy Simpson and husband Martin, Theresa McCullough and husband Mark all of Springfield.
Graveside services will be at 12 o’clock Noon, Monday, July 11, 2011, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Kitchen.
