Alexander White left a message on February 12, 2021:
My deepest condolences to the family and friends. I have been his barber for almost 4 years or so and have grown to know him over the years. He was always on time and respectful and always had a smile on his face. I never heard him bad mouth anyone or say anything negative. I considered him a friend and we had great talks about life, love, music, we always had a good time. The last time I saw him we were laughing so hard because we had remembered a situation that had happened in my shop anyways. It breaks my heart to hear this news and my prayers and thought are with the family.

Christi, I didn't intend to leave you out when I wrote the first note. I remember seeing pictures of your family when your children were young. Since I know both you and John;s grandparents (Hashagen) I can only imagine your pain. I just want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Diane

To all Hashegan’s, you are continually in my prayers. John had a big part in my life along with lots of childhood memories with the family. Everyone was a sucker for that wonderful smile with dimples that made him irresistible even in his annoying moments. I remembered Seeing about every movie that came out with John and always hoping in the photo booth. Attending concerts together was one of our favorite activities. We went to the same church and so many memories at Wesley United Methodist church (though we weren’t always saints) we still grew up to be successful adults! Thanks parents! Ya did pretty good. Thanks for taking me everywhere with you! This doesn’t even make a dent in the memories we have together but I will cherish them always. Rest in Paradise John. You are so loved and I am just one of the many lives you had a huge impact on. Thank you.
