John Christian Hashagen, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend passed away on February 5th, 2021. John was born on April 28^th, 1994 in Springfield, Missouri. He attended elementary school at Wanda Gray Elementary, Cherokee Middle School and graduated high school at Central High in Springfield, Missouri in 2013.

John was a kind and determined young man. He had recently returned to school with aspirations of completing his Bachelors of Science in construction management at Missouri State University. John Christian was a lover of nature, animals and recently reconnected with God. He believed that kindness cost nothing and said it often. His tattoo artwork told so much about him. John meant so much to so many. John loved with his whole heart and his family was his safe place. He had such a love for Maci Grace, his dog.

He is survived by his loving parents Christi (Freeman) and John Hashagen and two younger siblings, Spencer and Alexa, his grandmother, Barbra Wallace, his grandfather, David Hashagen along with many cousins, aunts and uncles.

John was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Earl Freeman Jr. and paternal grandmother, Patsy Hashagen.

Visitation will be held at Greenlawn East Funeral Home in Springfield, MO on February 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. (Please wear a mask per Springfield City code.)
