John Edward Buchholz, 85, of Springfield, Missouri went to be with the lord on December 1, 2023. He was born to Conley and Ruby Buchholz in Springfield Missouri on July 28, 1938. J.E attended Senior High currently known as Central High School and graduated in 1957. After high school he went into the United States Marine Corps with his best friend Rodney Murdaugh in 1957 and was active until he got honorably discharged in 1959. When he returned to Springfield he attended SMS for two years. J.E and Ann got married in 1962. He spent many years in the plumbing industry, working and instruction primarily with plumbers and pipefitters union 178. He later became the city inspector for Springfield, Missouri for 18 years. The house where he resided was the house that his grandfather built in 1927 where his wife Ann still currently resides. He went by several names consisting of Jay, J.E, and John. He lived a very long and happy life full of love, laughter and Jesus. He attended National Heights Baptist Church for several years where he served as a Deacon.
J.E was preceded in death by his parents, Conley and Ruby Buchholz, his sister and brother-in-law Deliah and Glenn Brown, his daughter Starr Hampton, and his son Todd Buchholz. He is survived by his wife Ann Buchholz of 60 years, daughter and son in-law Danielle and Jeff Allred, grandkids Josh and Ashley, Keaton and Deborah, Logan, Amanda and Gracee, along with his great grandkids Kerrigan, Penelope, and Rhys, as well as additional friends too numerous to list.
Visitation services will be on Tuesday December 5, 2023 from 5-7pm & Funeral services Wednesday December 6 at 1pm. All services will be held at Greenlawn North Funeral Home in Springfield.
