John F. Day, age 92, passed away on January 27, 2013 with his family by his side. John was born in Conway, MO on Sept. 10, 1920 to Orvel and Mabel Day. He married Marie Letterman on May 14, 1949. He was retired from Lily Tulip and he was an avid outdoorsman. John is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Rollive, Raymond, Ogel and Edward, 1 sister Kathryn. He is survived by his wife, Marie of 63 years, 2 daughters, Diana Campbell and her husband Steven, Martha Webb all from Springfield, 4 granddaughters, Amber and husband Kent, Brett and husband Gerrod, Lindsey, Sarah and husband Kelly, 4 great-grandchildren, Blake, Ashlynn, Kail, Quentin, 3 brothers, Joe Bill and wife June, Jack and wife Freda Mae and Don and wife Bobbie Sue, 2 sister’s-in-law Mary and Loretta and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at 10:00 am in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with his brother Rev. Jack Day officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
