John H. Snow, went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2011. John was born October 28, 1943 and was preceded in death by his Father and Mother: Sam and Verba Snow. He is survived by: Son John H. Snow and wife Heather VanLent Snow of Eureka Springs, AR; Daughter Heather Snow of Springfield, MO; grand-son’s: Justin, Ryan, Jacob, and Keaton; Brothers: Cecil Snow and wife Jean of Conway, MO, Robert Snow of Springfield, MO, and Sister Shirley Stowe and Husband Jim of Springfield, MO: and Sherry Byrne of Ozark, MO “The love of His Life” (as John referred to her as).
John was man that was true to his commitment to others. He lived following the values of a time/era where a handshake was your word. When you entered John’s private world; it was a world of antiques, vintage boats and Land-Rovers (that he would be seen driving around Springfield), buffalo, Missouri Mules and wild-life. He loved safaris and being in the outdoors: His beloved boat dock and roaring fire. For the few people that really got into his private world there will be memories/stories that will be passed down for years. He was a man of Great strength and courage, both physical and mental. He fought for the “underdog”, and encouraged others to do the same. He gave often, in every way, to people and the causes he believed in.
He started Southwest Investigating Agency in 1977 and remained in that occupation until he departed this world to be with the Lord his Savior. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Bishop Jonas Foote officiating.
