John Harm Pruis died peacefully in his sleep on April 16, 2023. after a nine-day hospitalization. John was born in DeMotte, IN on November 1, 1930. He was married to his wife, Mary Ann Peterson, on October 24, 1952. John had many occupations including Sales, Owner/Operator of Fin & Feather Resort on Table Rock Lake and Co-Manager with Mary of The Cambridge Independent Living Facility. He loved his family fiercely and enjoyed spending time with them.
John was proceeded in death by his parents (Harm & Minnie Pruis), Stepmother (Lucille), and two sisters (Gertrude Bierma and Martha Bierma). He is survived by his wife, Mary; children Greg Pruis (and wife, Sharon), Marla Pruis, Brian Pruis (and Fiancée Marlene) and Joy Perry; Grandchildren Jeff Pruis, Joshua Pruis, Elizabeth Wilcox (and husband Kory) and Kaleb Pruis; and Great-grandchildren Ella Pruis and Caedmon, Dominic and Asher Wilcox.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at Campbell United Methodist Church in Springfield, MO on April 27th at 11am.
