John’s obituary lovingly written by his family.
John J. Tobin of Springfield, MO passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on March 22, 2024. He fought the good fight against cancer and Alzheimer’s, but the disease eventually won.
John an only child, was born December 11, 1942, to John “Red” and Thelma Tobin. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debara Tobin; son, Justin Tobin and wife Jennifer, and granddaughters, Finley and Sophia, all of Springfield; son, Ryan Tobin and wife Megan, and grandsons, Brooks and Brodie, all of Olathe, KS. John served eight years in the Air Force, before working 22 years with Wonder Bread. He retired as a Regional Manager.
He loved bowling, a good game of pool, and of course the Chiefs.
John will be missed by his extended family and friends. His cremation has been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Graveside services for John will be held later this year at Maple Park Cemetery.
