John Jacob Mitchell, Sr., age 76, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away on April 18, 2024, after a long, heart-breaking period of physical and mental decline inflicted on him by dementia. His battle with memory issues was often difficult, but he continued to have a smile on his face.
In his younger years, there was nothing John loved more than dancing with Donna, his loving wife of 18 years. Between them, they had four children, John Jr. (Jay) Mitchell, Lee Mitchell, Christine Moore, and Warren Whittaker along with 13 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
John will be honored with a funeral service on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 6:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home, North with a visitation from 5:00-6:00 pm before the service also in the funeral home.
