John James Plaster, age 84, of Springfield, MO, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Christian Health Care East. He was born October 10, 1927, in Springfield, MO, to William and Cora (Ruberson) Plaster. He is a U.S. Army WWII veteran. He loved gardening, and had the prettiest flowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers: Herbert, Wilbur, Fred, Clifford, Richard, Don, and Jack Plaster.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Etta Plaster; a son Tom Plaster; a daughter Lillian Rogers; one brother William V. Plaster; eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, Springfield, MO, with Tim Plaster officiating. Burial will follow in Turners Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
