John Kenyon Bott, 78 of Strafford MO was born on August 14, 1942 to Dr. Olen and Pauline Bott in Carlinville, Illinois departed this life for his heavenly home on February 24, 2021.
John was proceeded in death by his parents Dr. Olen and Pauline, and his birth mother, Arlene Chids.
John is survived by his wife Connie of the home; his daughters, Tamara Bott of Willard, MO, Robyn Vicat of Springfield, MO, and Tracy Wright (Shawn) of Marshfield, MO. Grandchildren Shelby, Michael, Caleb, John, Autumn, Morgan, Ryan, James Bailey, and Colin. Great-grandchildren Hazel, and Milo, and his faithful pups Buddy, and Lucky.
John and Connie were united in marriage on May 11, 1974. John retired form Roadway Express after 30 years. He was a devoted husband, father, papa, and great papa. So many summer days you would find him on the lawn mower, mowing the neighborhood. John never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Services will be held in direction with Greenlawn Funeral Home North, visitation will be at 1:00 pm Saturday February 27, 2021 followed by the service at 2:00 pm, burial will follow after service at Danforth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude in his memory. John was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all.
