John McKenzie Aldred, 77, Springfield, MO. went to be with his Lord, on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. He was born in Springfield, MO. on November 22, 1942, to Clarence and Lillian (Humble) Aldred. John was a man of many talents and interests. He was a regional fleet manager with Prairie Farms Dairy. John loved traveling, he and his wife, Cookie, traveled every state except for Alaska and Hawaii. He had been a Springfield Police Officer for 11 years. He loved to collect Coca-Cola memorabilia, loved Nascar racing, older country music, and rebuilding muscle cars. He loved driving his wife around the neighborhood in his golf cart. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his wife and family.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister: Nancy. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Cookie Aldred, son: Mark Aldred, daughter: Lynne Wroolie and her husband, Danny and their children: Danny and his wife, Tess Wroolie and Samantha and her husband, Joseph Enciu, his niece, Linda Porter and her husband, Kent, and nephew, Todd Liddle.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2020, at Eastlawn cemetery. Public visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at Greenlawn Funeral Home North., before the graveside service. Due to the Covid Virus, the family may or may not be attending the visitation.
