John Michael Vinson, 72, Springfield, MO. passed away November 26, 2020, after a long illness. He was born on December 21, 1947, in Springfield, MO. John served his country from 1967 to 1969 in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. He had worked for Zenith Electronics, for 25 years and later retired from Ozark York Heating and Air.
John was preceded in death by his mother Beatrice May (King) Bledsoe and his step-father: Harold Bledsoe, and his son, Brian Vinson, who passed away in August, 2016, his in-laws: Edward and Dorothy Groves and by his sister-in-law: Linda Vinson, and his brother-in-law and his wife: Freddie and Sue Holland. He is survived by his wife, of nearly 50 years, Kathy (Groves) Vinson, his daughter: Sarah Storie and her husband, Jason, grandchildren: Garrett and Brenna Vinson, William Vinson and Jacob Mason, and his step-grandson: Marshal Storie, and his siblings: Jack Vinson, Dennis and Becky Bledsoe, Phyllis Snider, Larry and Tammy Bledsoe, and Jerry Bledsoe, and his brother-in-law and his wife: Bob and Joanie Baker and his sister-in-law and her husband: Emailee and Hershel Taylor.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North
