Dr. John Robert Justice, Pastor, age 60 of Springfield, born November 18, 1949 in Kansas City, MO, to the late James and Minnie (Alff) Justice went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 25, 2010.
John proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the Missouri Army National Guard and was honorably discharged on July 24, 1975. In 1981, he graduated with a Bachelors of Arts from Southwest Baptist University; furthered his education at Midwestern Theological Seminary graduating with his Masters of Divinity in 1987; and ultimately receiving a Doctor of Ministry from Midwestern in 1996.
John served as Pastor of 5 churches in northern and southern Missouri from 1977 until his death. He was currently serving in Homeland Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. John served his Lord Jesus devotedly until his home going. He faithfully loved his wife of 38 years, his family, friends and all who came his way in life. He was such a loving man during his life, never meeting a stranger and will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia, of the home; children, Jason Justice and wife Sarah and Christina Moore and husband Chris; three granddaughters, Bailee and Samantha Justice and Alexandra Moore; siblings, Judy Hudgens and husband Raymond, Mary K. Nourse, and James Justice and wife Sharon; numerous other loving relatives and a host of friends.
Celebration of Life services will be held, Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 7:00 pm, at Boulevard Baptist Church, 1030 S. Eastgate, Springfield. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service beginning at 6:00 pm.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Floral Hills Cemetery, Raytown, MO.
