Mrs. Johnnie Beatrice (Hughes) Hatfield, born October 29, 1915, in Hearn, Texas, died July 2, 2009, in Lawrence County Manor, Mount Vernon, Mo. She was 93 years and eight months old. She married Louis Hatfield on October 1, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1991, after 57 years of marriage. She is survived by three children, Evelyn Haguewood, Joplin, Marian Umberger and husband, Harold, and Jimmie Hatfield and wife, Patricia, Springfield; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by five siblings, Hazel Cantrell, Robert, Glen, Joe and Walter Hughes. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2009, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home, Strafford, Mo.
