She worked as a secretary at the hospital in Mena for several years before marrying the love of her life, H. Glynn Hall, in 1967.
Glynn and Johnnie spent 56 blessed years together. Much of that time was spent in Springfield, Mo., where Johnnie corralled staff and children as a secretary at Park Crest Day Care. When they moved to Waxahachie, Texas, she served students through the Financial Aid Office at SAGU. In 2013 Glynn and Johnnie settled back in Springfield to be near their children and grandchildren.
Johnnie was known for her beautiful doll collection as well as her love of garage sales, flea markets and a good 75% off sale. Most importantly, she loved Jesus and sought to instill that love in her children and grandchildren.
