Johnnie Lee Berry, 66, of Strafford, MO passed away December 17, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. He was born April 2, 1946, in Springfield, MO to Warren and Vera (Smith) Berry. Johnnie attended Central High School. He married Jackie Lee Jones on January 26, 1965, and they lived in the Fair Grove/Strafford area for the last 30 years where he was a wonderful husband and father. He retired from Kraft Foods after 28 years of service. Johnnie deeply cherished his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Johnnie is survived by his wife, Jackie; his children, John, Jr., Mary, and Carolyn; 12 grandchildren who will miss him greatly, Randall, Katlyn, Malick, Dominick and Alexis Hoskins, Melissa Buckner, Kevin and Taylor Davis, Christopher and Jacob Berry; sisters, Mary Bell Raby and Betty Knight, and brothers, Bob, Bill and James Berry.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 21, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, in the funeral home with Reverend Shane Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Dishman Cemetery, Strafford, MO. There will be a celebration of life afterwards at Peace Chapel in Fair Grove.
