Johnny Anson Carroll, Jr., 91, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on January 6, 2022. He was born on March 5, 1930 to Johnny Anson Carroll Sr. and Ada Viola in Windyville, Missouri.
He graduated from Windyville High School in 1949 and then served in the United States Air Force and United States Navy. After his service, he worked at Reyco until his retirement in 1992.
He was married to Edith (Wyatt) Carroll on July 5, 1967. He enjoyed fishing, working hard, and being there for his family.
He is preceded by his wife: Edith Carroll; son: Cecil Carroll; daughter-in-law: Sherri Carroll; step-daughters: Rebecca Rothermel and Donna Inman; grandsons: Brian Rothermel and Aaron Carroll; sisters: Jewel Carroll and Joyce Larimer; and brother-in-laws: Jim Farr and Ralph Larimer.
He is survived by his children: Diana Carroll, Rick Carroll, Tony Carroll, Sontina Barnes and husband Ron, and Tim Carroll; step-daughter Alberta Glenn; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Phoebe Farr; and lots of nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. There will be a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ozark Food Harvest or the American Legion.
