Joseph Eugene Fanning age 55 of Merriam Woods, Mo. passed away Friday May 29, 2010 at his home.. Joe was born June 28, 1954 in Milan MO. the son of Clarence Allen and Loretta Fern Beck Fanning.
He was preceeded in death by his father Clarence Allen Fanning, his grandparents Allen & Lauri Fanning and Edward & Susie Beck. Joe is survived by his wife Tina Carmack Fanning of their home in Merriam Woods MO. His mother Loretta Beck Fanning, sister Patricia Fanning Lee & spouse John, brother Gene Fanning & spouse Kelly all of Milan MO. Also surviving are nephews Chris Lee & wife Tammy of chillicothe mo, Jamie Lee and wife Cleta of milan mo, Randy Lee and wife Bridgett of Winigan MO. Neices Kasie Healy Penny and spouse Josh of Hollister MO, and LaRae Healy of Ozark MO, and God Son Dustin Allen Reynolds of Harrison Ark. Great neices and nephews Logan & Tiffany Lee, Audra, Aston and Alexa Lee, Addison Rose Scott and Andrew Joseph Penny.
Joe graduated from Milan CII in 1972, and from North Central MO College in 1996.
Joe and Tina were married Aug. 25, 1979. Joe worked as an LPN for Point Lookout Nursing & Rehab in Hollister, Missouri since 1998.
During his long struggle with cancer he stated, “I’ve lived a great life, with a marriage I am proud of and a career I have enjoyed greatly. I have riches beyond measure in my family and friends.”
There will be a visitation with a service to follow beginning @ 5:00 pm Wed, June 2, 2010 @ Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson MO. Memorial’s may be made to Greenlawn Funeral home.
