Joseph Ronald “Ron” Peairs of Branson, Missouri, passed away early in the morning on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Cox Health South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Diane Peairs; his son David and wife Amber, of McKinney, Texas; his son Jeffrey, of Los Angeles, California; his grandson Chase and wife Brooke, of Dallas, Texas; his grandson Spencer, of McKinney, Texas; and his granddaughter Taylor, of Flower Mound, Texas.
He also leaves behind two nieces, Stacey Browning and Tonya Peairs, of Pride, Louisiana, and a nephew, Tim Watson, of Marshall, Texas.
Ron was born on September 22, 1944, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended LSU and went on to work for the Ethyl Corporation for 19 years. When the plant closed, he became a deputy constable for the Baton Rouge Constable’s Office, serving there for another 19 years until his retirement. He then started his own private process-serving business, which he and Diane ran together for 10 years.
Ron and Diane moved to the Eureka Springs area in 2016, and later to Branson in 2021. From 2022 until he became ill in February of 2026, Ron worked at Walmart, where he touched many lives greeting people at the front door.
He was a member of Woodland Hills Family Church, where he volunteered for many years as a greeter.
As we celebrate his life today, we take comfort in knowing that, as a believer, Ron is now with Jesus. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, “Paw-Paw,” and uncle, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson.
