Heaven celebrated the homecoming of a precious saint on December 11, 2013. E. Josephine Mondy, “Josie,” 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Josie was born on January 20, 1929 in Springfield MO. She was married to Thomas Mondy, June 22, 1946. She is rejoicing being reunited with him, her parents Lewis and Frankie Geil, her sister Allean Malone, her son Terry Mondy, her daughter in law Deanna Mondy, and a host of friends. Josie shared God’s love with all she encountered. She had a gentle, loving spirit and a servant’s heart. She is a member of Crossway Baptist Church.She is survived by her son, Bob Mondy and his wife Wanda, her daughter in law Ruth Ann Mondy, and her daughter Cindy Thomas and her husband Davey; her nephew, Bill Malone and Sharon and their family; her grandchildren Bryan Mondy and Brandy, Jo Ann Dubrul and Sandy, Angie Jackson and Brian, Josh Thomas and Marsha, and Charity Hall and Josh; and her great grandchildren Joseph, William, Mackenzie, Thomas, Connor, and Hunter. Visitation is Saturday, December 14, 6-8 pm at Greenlawn North. Her Memorial Service will be Sunday, December 15 at 2pm.We are saddened to lose our Mother, Grandmother, “Meme,” and best friend, but we rejoice knowing we will see her again because of our Lord Jesus Christ.
