With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Josie Leann Cossey, who graced our lives with her vibrant spirit from March 16, 2018, until her journey blossomed into the stars on July 10, 2026. Born in Russellville, AR, and cherished by her family in Republic, MO, Josie’s light shone brightly during her short time with us.

Josie was a brave and spunky soul, radiating love, laughter, and a unique spark that filled the lives of everyone around her. As an amazing big sister, she delighted in creating memories that will forever echo in the hearts of her mother, Cascy Cossey, her father, Jonathan Cossey, her baby brother Jonathan Cossey; Her maternal great grandmother and grand father Dewain and Carolyn Martin; her paternal grandmother Carla Cossey; uncle Randy, Aunt Shannon, uncle Mike and aunt Jennifer; aunt Holly, aunt CJ Skeeters, great-grandmother, Peggy Dabney, special cousin, Westlyn, several other cousins and numerous friends. Her laughter was as contagious as the joy she found in listening to country music, finding new makeup tutorials, and watching her favorite show, Unicorn Academy. Dressed in her favorite purple, she turned the ordinary into the extraordinary, transforming each moment into something magical.

To celebrate Josie’s vibrant spirit and the love she shared, we invite friends and family to a special graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The service will take place on July 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM, where we will gather to reminisce, share stories, and celebrate a life filled with love and joy.

As we bid farewell to our beautiful Josie, let us remember the warmth she brought into our lives and carry her spirited memory in our hearts forever. May she continue to dance among the stars and inspire us to find beauty and joy in every moment.
