Helen “Joyce” Austin, 87, of Springfield, MO passed away September 16, 2026, in Springfield, MO. Joyce was born on November 16, 1938, in Chillicothe, MO, to Luther and Gladys Nibarger.
Joyce was a 1956 Graduate of Chillicothe High School. She loved her family. She was an avid reader, reading up to five books a week. She loved watching sports on television, especially Nascar and the Chiefs. Joyce spent many years as an accountant owning her own business.
Joyce is survived by her son Kevin King and wife Marlana, her daughter Debra Brown and husband Greg. Her grandchildren Lindsey King, Brett King and wife Whitney, Kiley King, Austin and Campbell Brown and great grandchildren Abram and Everett King.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Luther Nibarger and Gladys Nibarger, her husband Bill Austin, her granddaughter Peyton Brown.
Graveside services at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery to be announced later.
