Joyce Kay (Brake) Garcia 65, Conway, MO. passed away December 25, 2019 after a long illness. She was born September 6, 1954, to William and Chloe (Bryant) Brake. A homemaker, Joyce was a member of the Baptist faith.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter: Lori Brake, three sisters: Lois Burks, Bobbie Ann Brake, and Sandra Lynn Brake and one brother, David William Brake. She is survived by her longtime companion of 30 plus years, James Rogers, her grandchildren: Jose, Jamie, Marissa, and J.P. all of the state of California, her siblings: Janice Brake, of Marshfield, MO. Nadine and Paul Andretta, of Marshfield, MO. Connie Officer, of Conway, Mo., Terry Brake, of Riverside, CA. Donnie & Gerri Brake of Blue Eye, MO. Sharon Drennon, of Conway, MO. and Karen Russ, of Park,Kansas., as well as as a host of several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at Temple Baptist Church, 845 South Fort Street, Springfield, MO. with burial to follow, at Mt. Pisgah cemetery, near Strafford, MO. Visitation will be one hour before services, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
