Joyce Blinkinsop Hall, 81, passed away May 16, 2013, at Maranatha Village in Springfield, Missouri. Born February 23, 1932, in Clinton, Iowa, to Levern and Julia (Caren) Blinkinsop, she moved to the Willow Springs area in her mid-teens where she met her future husband, Glen Hall.
Joyce and Glen owned and worked a 1000 acre dairy farm in Pomona, Missouri, where she managed the calving operation. She was active in auxiliary programs at Dairy Farmers of America. They received many farming awards, but were most proud of the Missouri Young Farmer and Farm Management Award. She was also employed by Shoney’s in West Plains for several years. An active member of Pomona Christian Church over 50 years, Joyce will be remembered for her service in the choir, many singing groups, and as a President of Ladies Aid, a quilting organization supporting different efforts within the church. She was a member of the Hutton Valley Quilting. Joyce was most proud of her family; giving them a strong legacy of work and love for Christ. Her love of music and theater will be remembered by her family.
She is preceded in death by Glen, her husband of 67 years; and a brother, Paul “Bud” Blinkinsop. Joyce is survived by four children, Vicky Stephenson, her husband Greg, Jim Hall, his wife Kathy; Ted Hall, his wife Cindy; and Peter Hall, his wife Lisa; eight grandchildren, Veronica Aichele, Wayne Stephenson, BJ Hall, Chad Hall, Lacey Carter, Casey Hall, Grant Hall and Logan Hall; three great-grandchildren, Ellie Aichele, Alex Aichele and Gaddie Stephenson; two sisters, Lois Steele and Norda Byers; and a brother, David Blinkinsop.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2013, in Pomona Christian Church, 5040 County Road 1390, Pomona, Missouri, with Marcus Allen officiating.
