Joyce Stallings, 84, succumbed to a lengthy illness on Tuesday November 29, 2011. Born Joyce Justis on November 11, 1927 in Pecos Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Andrew Stallings in April of 2011. Joyce is survived by her son James Alan Stallings and a daughter Sharon Elizabeth Wilburn. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Vickie Sprock and Sue Menn and her brother Robert E. Justis and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was an accomplished musician, she taught piano lessons for over 30 years and played piano and organ in Baptist churches for more than 40 years. She was a long time member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was devoted to Jesus Christ her Savior. Joyce will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be on Monday December 5, 2011 at 11:30 am at Greenlawn Funeral Home South with burial following at 1:00 pm at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday December 4, 2011, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
