Juanita Effie Charney, 97, Springfield, MO. passed away January 18, 2022, in her home. A former resident of Greenbay, Wisconsin, Juanita was born in Conway, MO. on December 1, 1924, to William and Ida (Moore) Terry. She was a graduate of Conway High School and she was a retired retail sales clerk. In 1950, Juanita was united in marriage to Leonard Charney, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Being the wife of a military man, Juanita and Leonard moved several times during their marriage.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, her parents: William Harrison Terry and Ida Angeline Moore Terry, her brothers: Jesse Terry and Carl Terry, her sisters: Gusta Ott, Naomi Lane, Elizabeth Siler, Williams, (Maggie) Mary Perry, Loieta Ragsdale and Vieta Ragsdale. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Linda Staples, Mary Keithley, Don Terry, Janice Bowser, Charley Perry, Robert Perry, Mary Lou Perry, Rita Lott, Jimmy Ragsdale, and Terry Ragsdale.
