Juanita Frances Leach, 99, of Springfield, MO departed to Heaven, Monday, October 30, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 20, 1924 in Springfield, MO, the daughter of Bill and Mary Ellen Blunt. Juanita was married to Hiram Leach December 2, 1945.
Mom enjoyed a rewarding and successful career as a cook working at Fair Grove Schools. She loved her family, friends and pets unconditionally, with her two treasured gifts in life being a mother and her relationship with Christ.
Mom was a gift to us from the Lord above. She had a servant’s heart. Who could resist her glowing smile? She owned us, those who were blessed to have her in our lives. The loved we shared cannot be expressed in words alone. We will miss her endlessly until we are joined together in eternity. Surely she was an “Angel Among Us.” Mom you taught us how to live gracefully.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hiram Leach, her sister Wanda Lee Ihlefeldt and numerous other family members and friends.
Juanita is survived by her sons David Leach of Springfield, Ken Leach of Dallas, TX and Gary Dysart also of Springfield. She is also survived by her grandson Chris Leach and his wife Christina of Richardson, TX, her granddaughter Tara Williams and her husband Zach of Kervin, TX; 4 great grandchildren Leah Krase of McKinney, TX, Dylan Williams of Dallas, TX, David Williams of Dallas, TX and Sophia Leach of Richardson, TX; A niece Cynthia Staats of Lake Mary, FL and nephew Terry Ihlefeldt of Topeka, KS.
We extend a heartfelt thanks to Magnolia Square Nursing and Rehab staff for the loving care they gave to Mom. Also a special thanks to Season’s Hospice for their support, love and compassion given to our mom. It was given with respect and dignity. You gave us strength on this difficult journey. Also our love and heartfelt gratitude goes out to Galloway Full Gospel Church for lifting us up in prayer as well as all of our loved ones for being there for us.
