Judith Illeana Rader, age 86, was peacefully called home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 28, 2013. She was at home all during her long illness.
Judith was born October 13, 1927 to Lester and Rosena Tuck in Springfield, Mo. As a young woman, she played the viola with the Springfield Symphony. Judith was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield until 1995, when she and her husband transferred to Hope Lutheran in Republic, Mo.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Clayton Tuck; and a grandson, William Jonathan Rader.
She met William O. (Bill) Rader at Trinity Lutheran, and they were married on September 19, 1948. This year marked their 65th anniversary. Bill and Judith owned and operated a family dairy farm east of Republic for 42 years. After that they raised beef cattle for another 10 years. Judith loved the farming life, gardening, quilting, and reading. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family. We will all be together again.
Judith is survived by her husband, Bill; her son, William Nathan Rader and wife Theresa; her daughter, Elise (Rader) Stueve and husband Gary; grandchildren: Jason Rader and wife Bobbi, Jessica Rader, Christopher Stueve and wife Lisa, and Corey Stueve; and great-grandchildren: Tyler Rader, Amethyst Rader, and Christian Stueve.
Funeral services are planned at 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning, January 2nd, in Hope Lutheran Church, 218 West Hwy. 174, in Republic, Mo. Interment in Clear Creek Cemetery immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Lutheran in Judith’s name. Services have been entrusted with Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
