Julia “Judy” Ann Divine 87, Springfield, Mo. passed away in her home, after a long illness. Judy was born on February 13, 1932, in Johnson county, Mo. to Garra and Fannie (Smith) Coulson. She was a retired school teacher retiring from Springfield Public Schools after 20 years of service and formerly working with the Cassville, MO. school district. She was a long-time active member of the National Heights Baptist Church, where she enjoyed working with the women's group. In her spare time, she loved crocheting and embroidery.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rev. Otis Divine, two sisters: Olivia and Thelma and two brothers: G.W. and Don. She is survived by her daughter: Ruth Divine and her son: David Divine, three grandchildren: Jeremy, Jessica, and JaNae, five great-grandchildren: Tristan, Ian, Adalynn, Jaxon and Wesley.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday,January 25, 2020, at National Heights Baptist Church. Burial will be at a later date, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (P.O. Box 419582, Kansas City, MO. 64141-6582) Parkinson's Foundation (P.O. Box 6003, Albert Lea, MN 56007-9902) or to the National Heights Baptist Church (3050 North National Avenue, Springfield, MO. 65803)
