We write these few lines to express our most sincere condolences. Karen was, to us, a very special person and we will always remember her contagious smile despite all the challenges that life presented to her. You should be proud because she was the soul of the family; always there, in good and in bad times, and without complaints. We will have in our minds only pleasant memories of her that will remain with us forever. Sincerely, Beto and Jeannine Falquez Barranquilla, Colombia

Karen was funny, full of life and could be crazy in a good way. Enjoyed working with her and hanging out with her in DC. Sorry that she is physically gone but she’s the kind of person I know I won’t forget.

To Karen’s Family, May every cherished memory of Karen bring you joy and lasting comfort in the days ahead. I met Karen when she lived in D.C. and felt an instant bond. She was a warm, generous, loving woman who enjoyed life . Her passion for her family, patterns, exquisite fabrics, shoes and her culinary skills are some of her many talents I remember best. May she Rest in Peace. Beverley Manuel Ontario, Canada.
