Katie was a loving wife to Alfred Edling. They were married July 28th, 1960 in Germany. the Edlings moved to the United States in 1980. They owned and operated Happy Days Resort in Shell Knob for 22 years, before retiring in Springfield, Missouri.
Besides being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandparent, Katie was an avid baker and seamstress. Mrs. Edling is survived by her husband, Alfred; four children, Erika Bialous, Claudia Patten, Petra Heileman, and Frank Edling; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Marcus, Anna, Laura, Jan, Sven, Jacob, Joshua, and Amanda; and two great- grandchildren, T.J. and Isiah.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
