Kathleen McKeel McHenry Berg passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012. She was born February 19, 1924 in Springfield, MO. She graduated from Central High School in Springfield in 1942. She completed a Masters of Education from University of Missouri in 1950. She retired as an elementary teacher in Kirkwood Public Schools in 1986. She was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Ray McHenry who died in WW2, her husband of 60 years Glen Loyd Berg, parents Leonard McKeel and Josephine Parker, daughter Elaine Berg, and sisters Irene Vanderhoof and Geraldine Berbert. She is survived by sons Kenneth McHenry and David Berg, siblings Lorene Shaffer, William McKeel, Bertha Curtis, June Schaefer, Donald McKeel, and Diane McKeel, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Viewing will be at Greenlawn North on Friday, October 26 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1357 South Ingram Mill Rd, Springfield on Saturday October 27 at 9:00 a.m. Internment will follow services at Hazelwood Cemetary in Springfield, MO.
Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at 9:00 am in the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church on Ingram Mill Rd Springfield, MO. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield.
