Kathryn “Kay-Kay” June Neil, age 92, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on May 3, 2026, at home surrounded by family. Kathryn was born to June and Dorothy Sifferman on March 1, 1934 in Halltown, MO. She was raised in Halltown, MO and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1951. Kathryn attended Draughn Business School and worked for Mr. O’Harrah preparing Income Tax returns after graduation. Kathryn was the wonderful, loving mother of two children: Debra L Williams and Scott A Neil.
Kathryn was the owner of Neil Income Tax Service for 50 years. She retired in 2008. When not working, she had many interests and pastimes including: Reading, writing, traveling to the beach, and most important, spending time with her family and friends. Kathryn enjoyed lighthouses and traveled to many of them. Kathryn loved photos and surrounded herself with those memories.
Kathryn was a devout Christian, loved Jesus, and a long-time member of Broadway and Madison, South National, East Sunshine and Sunset Church of Christ. Kathryn enjoyed spending time with her church family and monthly singles and friends outings. When she became unable to attend, she watched services online with her daughter, Debra.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, June and Dorothy Sifferman, Son Scott Neil, Granddaughter Jennifer K Cook (Williams). She is survived by daughter Debra Williams, Daughter-in-law Jenny McCullum, (Geno), Granddaughters Genie Neil, Jasmine McCullum, Grandsons Rob Williams and his wife Stephanie, Rob Cook and his wife Jennifer, Jared Neil, Michael McCullum, Great-Granddaughters Maddi Becraft, Ava Neil, Gracie Clevenger and her husband James, Great-Grandsons, Parker Becraft, Kaden Neil, Hunter Williams, Bo Williams, Gabe Williams, and Josh Williams, and a Great Grandson Theron Dakin.
A visitation for Kathryn will be held on Wednesday, 13th of May, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield, MO. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m.with a burial to follow at Rock Prairie Cemetery, Halltown, MO.
