Kathy Ruth (Harper) Andrews, age 55, a lifelong Springfield, Missouri native, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was born on August 17, 1968, to Duane Junior and Lola Nadine (Lock) Harper. She attended Hillcrest High School. Kathy was united in marriage to  Clarence Andrews on September 7, 2013, in Fair Grove, Missouri. She was a devoted wife and mother to her son, James Mincks, and Daughter, Sherryl Millard. Kathy was also a diligent, hard worker as a Department Manager for Walmart for over 13 years.  When she was not working, she was most comfortable in nature, tending her garden, hunting, and fishing, but most of all enjoying the company of her family and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Duane Junior Harper and two of her brothers, Kerry Vance and Charles “Chuck” Orville Harper and his wife Sandra.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence; her children, James and his wife, Billie (Bea) Mincks, and her daughter, Sherryl Millard; as well as her step-children, Tyler Andrews and Lydia Andrews; three grandchildren, James Gregor Millard, Bentley Andrew Millard, and Kharma Leann Millard; two step grandchildren, Sadie Lee Bea and Preston Blaze Hicks,  her mother, Lola Nadine (Lock) Harper, her sisters, Golda Harper Wood, Gayla Harper Strain and her husband, Wayne Strain, Teresa Harper Hawley and husband, Michael Hawley, her brother, Earl Duane and his wife, Catherine Harper; her very close friends, Terri Barnes Reaves, Tonya Bishop, Sheri Curnutt, and Sheila Shaffer; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather and share fond memories and stories at Greenlawn Funeral Home, North, Springfield, Missouri on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 12:00-2:00p.m. with a graveside service following at 3:00 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic, Missouri.
