Kathyleen E. Hunt, age 88, of Springfield, MO went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 17th, 2023, at Mercy Hospital.
Kathyleen was born November 7, 1934, in Webster County, MO, the daughter of Clealan and Agnes Hunt. She was their only child.
Kathyleen attended Miller School, with “the cousins” through the 8th grade.
Kathyleen worked as a professional seamstress at a bridal shop and then an upscale ladies’ dress shop for many years. After retiring, she was a foster grandparent with Springfield Public Schools and the Boys and Girls Club. She enjoyed making Friday night trips to Marshfield to scrapbook with the girls and spoiling her cat Bimbo.
Survivors include a cousin, Chester (Marilyn) Hunt of Springfield, MO; Doris Hunt of Marshfield, MO; and many other cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clealan and Agnes Hunt; uncle Ben (Helen) Hunt, cousins Don (Shirley) Hunt, Charlotte Hunt, Patsy Hunt, Diane Hunt Rosebrock, and Ronnie Hunt; uncle Glen (Lenora) Hunt, cousins Robert Hunt Sr., James Hunt, Joe Hunt and Gloria Hunt Harris.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Monday, May 22, 2023, at Greenlawn South Funeral Home. A celebration of Kathyleen’s life will be held Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023, at 2:00pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home South, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral services have been entrusted to Greenlawn South Funeral Home.
