Kay Sue Obregon, 63, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Friday, June 11, 2010. She graduated from Warsaw (Indiana) High School in 1965, and retired from the Springfield Public School system. She was a member of North Point Church, and she volunteered there two days a week. She enjoyed spending time with family, camping, and her dog, Kipper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Catherine Pittenger; and son-in-law, Michael Hicks. She is survived by her husband, Amauro Obregon; children, Melisa and Mark Arterberry, Brian and Suzanne Obregon, Brad and Candice Obregon; eight grandchildren, Megan, Michael, Josh, Jeremy, Cortland, Caitlyn, Cameron, and Marissa; great-grandchild, Hope; brother and spouse, Don and Barb Pittenger; as well as many wonderful friends. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at 9 a.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans’ Cemetery, Springfield, Mo. Visitation will be Monday, June 14, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
