Keith Allen Maples, age 67, of Springfield, MO, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 in his home. He was born December 18, 1946, in Jamesville, MO, to Emory and Mary (Keithley) Maples. Keith was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a retired backhoe operator, an avid outdoorsman, mechanic, and he had an endless sense of humor. Keith had a very personal relationship with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Betty June Hamilton, and two brothers: Chester and Fred Maples. He is survived by his wife Virginia Maples, his daughters: Deanna K. Robertson, husband John Wayne, Gala M. Kyger, husband Jeff L., grandson: Tim A. Kyger, Honorary granddaughter Natalie Lee, a niece who lived with Keith and Virginia: Jessica V. McKeel, his brothers and sisters Virginia Rogers, Sylvia Fleetwood, Katy Harvell, Wilford Maples, Janice Kee, Aubrey Maples, Dixie Soutee, Steven Maples, Nelda Williams, and Tonya Keithley. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with Rev. Kurt Caddy officiating. Burial will follow at Union Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus of Springfield
