Reverend Kenneth E. Best of Springfield, MO, was born January 16, 1926, and entered his eternal home on August 27, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Edith Best, his three children, Darrell and Linda Best, Springfield, MO; Linda and Steve Knoll, Adrian, MO; and Roger and Judy Best, Little Rock, AR; seven grandchildren, Sherry & Seth Gaines, Kevin & Danni Best, Jason & Jessica Best, Heather Ball, Geoff Knoll, Eric & Amy Best, and Rachel Best, nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Dana Davis, Fox, AR; and Ada Lynn, St. Mary’s, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice & Chester Best; three brothers and three sisters, and a host of other family members and friends.
Rev. Best was an ordained Assembly of God minister, pastoring Assembly of God churches in Harmon, AR; Lexington, MO; Dixon, MO; East Prairie, MO; Tarkio, MO; and Kensington, KS. Rev. and Mrs. Best retired to Maranatha Village, Springfield, MO.
Visitation will be in Maranatha Village Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2012. Funeral services will be in Maranatha Village Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Friday August 31, 2012. Burial be follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
