Kenneth C. Jarman, 67, of Willard, Missouri passed away at his home on September 22, 2021. Kenny was born in Centerville, Iowa on July 7, 1954, the son of Loye Carol Jarman and Marilyn Louise Jarman. At the age of 12, he accepted Christ into his life and was baptized shortly after. He graduated from Unionville High School with the class of 1972. In 1974 he married Janice Payne, who preceded him in death. Then on September 15, 1995, Kenny married Traci Lang Crooks. Kenny and Traci stayed in Unionville, Missouri briefly after their marriage. They then moved to Willard, Missouri where Kenny followed his work for the United States Postal Service.
While living in Unionville, Missouri Kenny worked for several local businesses that included Lockridge Lumber, Butler Construction, Hy-Vee Grocery Store and the United States Postal Service. During that time Kenny held positions with several organizations including The Saddle Club, The Park Board, The Putnam County Band Boosters and the Mud Slingers. Then in 1998, Kenny and Traci moved to Willard, Missouri where they lived for 23 years. Kenny continued to work for the United States Postal Service as a carrier and then moved into a Supervisory position for several more years. Kenny retired in 2015 after a total of 40 years of service. Kenny then worked for U-haul in Springfield, Missouri for an additional five years.
Kenny was a devoted father to all of his children and was very active in all aspects of their lives. He shared many talents with his father including his abilities as a craftsman and considerable skills with construction, and he also had a decidedly creative side. In his free time he enjoyed many tinkering projects and playing his guitar, and Kenny was remarkably talented with both. Kenny was the lead guitar in a band called “Head-n-Home” for several years. Kenny had a very kind nature and he also had a fun loving child-like nature. He could fix just about anything and he could also make just about anyone smile. Kenny had a passion for mud dragging and music and loved bonfires, horses, hunting, and planning and executing pranks. Kenny and Traci both also enjoyed riding motorcycles together and served as Missouri State Youth Reps for Christian Motorcyclists Association for several years.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law: Larry Crooks, who passed away in 2016. He is survived by his wife, Traci Lang Jarman, and his five children, Jeremy Jarman and his wife Krysten of Unionville MO; Krisha Green (Zayne McGaha) of Willard, MO; DeShann Rexroat of Willard, MO; Kari McPherson and her husband Job of Searcy, AR; and Tabitha Jarman (Blayne Chism) of Springfield, MO. Kenny’s surviving grandchildren are Ryleigh Green, Charli McPherson, Carter McGaha and expected grandson next month. He is also survived by two sisters; Teresa Fleshman and her husband Brent and Melinda Smith and her husband Roger, his mother-in-law Shirley Crooks, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation services for Kenny Jarman will take place at Green Lawn North Funeral Home in Springfield, MO from 6pm – 8pm on Friday, October 01, 2021.
Funeral Services will take place at Greenlawn North Funeral Home in Springfield, MO at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Graveside Services for Kenny Jarman will take place at Martinstown Cemetery in Martinstown Missouri at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 03, 2021.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials for Kenny are suggested to “Run For The Son” which is a fundraiser for an Internationally known Organization, Christian Motorcyclists Association, and may be entrusted to the Greenlawn North Funeral Home, 3506 N.
