Kenneth Gene Fisher
Kenneth Gene Fisher Kenneth Gene Fisher, age 78, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010, in Springfield, Mo. He was born September 30, 1931, in Morrisville, Mo. He graduated from Dadeville High School in 1950. He was dedicated to his country and served in the U.S. Army. Kenneth was a long time resident of Greene County, who’s passions included quail hunting, gardening, officiating football and basketball at the high school and college levels. He was bestowed the honor of induction into the Southwest Missouri Football Officials Associations Hall of Fame in 1994. Kenneth was a very dedicated family man and extremely hard worker for those in need. He always attended his family’s sporting events, no matter how big or small, he was there. Those that had the honor of knowing Kenneth were truly blessed. He will be missed and thought of often by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents W.R. “Bill” Fisher and Fern (Bacon) Fisher; and brothers Ray E. Fisher and Donald Fisher. He is survived by his wife, Leah A. Fisher; sons, Eddie J. Fisher, Springfield, Mo., and Kenneth J. “Jeff” Fisher and spouse Nancy K. (Carty) Fisher, Flint, Texas; six grandchildren, Alicia Hicks, Kecia Maxwell, Tyler Fisher, Lauren Fisher, Alexa Fisher and Corbin Fisher; Four great-grandchildren, Hunter Maxwell, Chase Hicks, Harley Maxwell, and Hannah Maxwell; brother, John B. Fisher, Sarasota, Fla.; and sister, Beverly S. Slagle, Bolivar, Mo. Memorial service will be in Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E.
