Kenneth (Kenny) Wayne Choate, 73, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Parkview Health Care Facility after a long illness. Kenny was born in Springfield, MO, on March 22, 1952, to Willard and Lois Jean (Farmer) Choate of Pleasant Hope. Kenny was the oldest of three boys. He was saved September 17, 1970, and joined Rock Prairie Missionary Baptist Church and remained a member until his death.

Kenny graduated from Pleasant Hope High School in 1968 and worked at Consumers Hardware in Springfield. He later worked as a carpenter alongside his dad for many years building numerous houses in Polk County. He loved being on the farm along with watching wildlife.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Lois Jean Choate.

Kenny is survived by his brothers: Ronnie Choate and wife Debbie, and Mike Choate and wife Cathy; nephews: Brad Choate (Brooke), Brent Choate (Lindsey), Tyler Choate (Makenzie); niece Julie Warner (Nathan); seven great nieces and nephews; one Aunt Betty Farmer; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Due to his declining health, Kenny spent the last nine years at Parkview Healthcare Facility and grew very close to his Parkview family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:00 am at Rock Prairie Missionary Baptist Church Hwy Z  Halfway, MO.
