Kenneth Lee Owen, of Republic, Missouri, passed away on June 8, 2026. Born on November 22, 1945, Ken grew up in Springfield, Missouri, where he laid the foundation for a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for those around him. He proudly served our country in the Army Reserves as a young man. He loves taking the family spending time at the lake. He was a true automotive enthusiast, Ken turned his lifelong passion into his life’s work. For 56 years, he proudly owned and operated Ken Owen Auto Service. Through his business, he became a trusted, respected, and familiar face in his community, always ready to lend his expertise and a helping hand.Beyond the garage, Ken’s greatest joy and proudest achievement was his family. He was a devoted husband, a supportive father, and an incredibly proud grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Ann; his two sons, Dustin (and wife Angie) and Chad (and wife Krystal); and the absolute lights of his life, his grandchildren: Skyler, Drake, Sydney, Cooper, and Price Owen. He is also survived by his 104 year old mother, affectionately known to the family as “Lil Grandma,” his sister, Pat Hutsell, and his nephews, Jeff (and his wife Gayle) and Ryan Hutsell. Ken will be remembered for his steadfast work ethic, his love of cars, and the unwavering love he had for his family. His love for challenging jigsaw pieces. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Service Information – A memorial service will be held on June 20th at 3pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Those that would like to share words and stories are welcome. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations sent to Crossway Baptist Church, Boulevard Baptist or GearHead Ministries. In honor of Kenny’s love of hot rods, the family asks his friends, that can, drive your hot rod to the memorial.
