Kenneth Nathan Cothran, 66, of Maranatha Village, Springfield, MO. peacefully went to heaven on November 1, 2019, from Select Specialty Hospital. His caretakers were touched by his smile and sense of humor. Many joyous moments will be remembered through the multiple month stay at Select. He brought joy to friends, family, and acquaintances.
Ken was born on July 16, 1953 in Taylor, Texas to Woodrow and Hazel Cothran. He grew up with five siblings: Naomi, David, Juanita, Paul and Martha. Ken attended all 12 years of school in Georgetown, Texas. He attended one year of college at Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie, Texas.
Ken was preceded in death by his Mama and Daddy and two brother-in-laws. He is survived by his siblings: Naomi Wiley (Round Rock, TX) David Cothran and his wife Beth, (Euless, TX.), Juanita Purser (Georgetown, TX.), Paul Cothran and his wife Marilyn (Pt. St. Joe Fl.) and Martha Ethridge and her husband, Urtha Lenharr, (Chambersburg, PA) , along with numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2019, in Maranatha Chapel, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2019, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
