Kenneth Wayne Jones, age 80, of Springfield, MO. died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at his home.
He was born on September 28, 1932 in Orla, MO., the son of Virgil and Elaine Massey Jones.
Kenneth was a U.S. Army Veteran. He had retired as a plumbing and heating salesman for Harry Cooper Supply and Nixa Hardward.
Kenneth loved Music, he was the Master of Cermonies and played the guitar and sang at Locust Prarie School for over 30 years, as well as other places. He loved Music and the many friends he made along the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jack and Larry.
He is survived by his wife Ilene “Pierson” Jones of the home; a daughter, Pamela Thompson; three sons, Doug, Steven and Mark. Also surving are eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Bruce and a sister-in-law, Eunice Jones.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Greenlawn North Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Burial will be in McBride Cemetery..
