Kwang Cha Munoz age 80 passed away at her home on October 25, 2025 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on March 13, 1945 in Pocheon Kyung Ki-do Republic of Korea. In 1951 she and her family moved to Daechen due to the Korean War and in 1954 they moved again, this time to Seoul.
In 1973 Kwang Cha moved to the United States and in 1976 she became an official citizen of the United States of America. On June 6, 1987 she married Richard Munoz. She worked various jobs before starting work for Frito Lay in 1976 and worked there for 25 years until she retired. After she retired from Frito Lay she and her husband purchased a motel and operated it for 8 years.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery after services in Topeka, KS.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Arrangements in Kansas will be under the direction of Brennan Mathena Funeral Home in Topeka.
